"My wife and I stayed 4 night in this updated 1700s cottage that was clean and cozy. I’m an early riser so I enjoyed the early mornings by the fire pit and my wife slept in. We visited a lot of the area places ie Strasburg railroad, sight and sound theatre which was amazing! Went to Amish and or Mennonite owned and or run shops and markets and just had a relaxing time when we return to the cottage . The Meck’s did a wonderful job updating yet keeping it from the era. "I was visiting with family for my grandson’s first ever dirt bike race. What a great weekend! My grandson won 2 of his 3 races. My son, his girlfriend and my grandson came to the cottage for the evenings. We enjoyed grilling and sitting by the fire ring. My grandson loved playing with the kids that were with family by the pond. The property is absolutely beautiful! The hosts are very kind and welcoming. I would definitely love to stay again!"

"The apartment was the perfect size for for our family of four and our dog. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking a few meals at home to save some money. The bathroom is large and well laid out. If you're looking for ice cream, check out Fox Meadows creamery, a short walk away or drive a few minutes to Hayloft ice cream. At Hayloft, you can feed ducks and fish in the adjacent pond. Achenbachs bakery, just down the road, has some good long johns."

"The best parts about this cottage are its location in Camp Meeting, which is a quaint, quiet, wooded, camp-like community, walkable to dining and family friendly events, the wrap around porch, and the time period decor. The sleeping arrangements with 4 mixed gender teens were a challenge, but if your teen/preteen, our you (parent) don't mind taking the couch, there is plenty of room for 6 guests like is in this cottage.
