"Great location and very well equipped room and en-suite. There is noise from the street but if that doesn’t bother you, then I would highly recommend. Great price and love the voucher for the breakfast at the Crown Hotel. Would benefit from blackout curtains. Other than that it’s excellent ⭐️"

"Stayed overnight prior to a day at the East Somerset Railway 10 minutes away. Jeff welcomed us on arrival , and showed us to our room. Room was compact, but very comfortable, en suite, tea and coffee , tv and hairdryer in room , and very comfy bed. Had a nice meal in the evening, served by a very friendly lady ( sorry we didn’t catch her name) , in the cosy dining room. We pre-ordered breakfast, which was lovely and set us up for the day. All in all this was s great stay, with friendly hosts and great value. We would thoroughly recommend the Pecking Mill Inn."

"The staff were cheerful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Wayne was lovely, cheerful, a real character! The building is very old, so to get to our room, it was up and down stairs, along corridors, really quaint, but not for someone with limited mobility. - I’m sure you can request a room with easier access. The room itself was ‘small but perfectly formed’, it did what it was supposed to! The paint was peeling off in the bathroom, but it was clean and well stocked with all the toiletries you need. Tea & coffee making facilities were excellent, selection of teas, and coffee bags! Big tick form us there! We ate in the pub too, lovely freshly cooked food, served promptly, and was hot! Breakfast was delicious, selection of cereals, pastries spreads fruit juice etc. lovely strong coffee, and served by the lovely Wayne, what more could we ask for! The car park was ‘tight’ but again, free, - I was just pleased my husband was driving! Overall we had a lovely stay, and would go back again in a jiffy. Thank you everyone! X"

"I was slightly worried when we drove into the car park as it was a bit scruffy, but I needn’t have worried as the hotel is excellent, with large, comfortable, clean rooms, and really lovely staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return."

"The hotel is located inside the pub. I was one of the attic rooms and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. The Sunday roast is well worth it. I had the roast beef and it was delicious. My room was a twin bedroom. It was fine but there was no floor length mirror. The mirror on the dressing table you could manoeuvre but you couldn’t see your full outfit. The mattresses need to be changed. Although I slept really well, the mattress was very lumpy with a firm impression on one side. The bathroom does need some updating. The shower, although was very good, you couldn’t see how to turn it off. I spent ages trying to turn it off as the instructions were not visible enough to see. The bath needs reselling and the flooring replaced. The breakfast is good value and the service is excellent. Everyone I met in the pub was friendly and hospitable. "
