"The property is somewhat secluded but yet in the middle of everything. There is no pool on the property but there is public access to the pools of the adjacent properties. There is no housekeeping and you have to help turn the property over (take out trash, strip beds, ect). Would definitely stay here again."

"We had a wonderful experience at the Islander Inn. I was initially uncertain after reading some older reviews, but I’m very glad I paid attention to the more recent ones, which reflect the positive changes under the new ownership. The owners are actively involved onsite, which is evident in the level of care and attention given to the property. The rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean, and the staff—from the front desk to the poolside bartenders—were consistently welcoming, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere throughout the hotel felt inviting and well-maintained. The pool bar was another highlight; the drinks were excellent and generously prepared. Overall, the Islander Inn exceeded our expectations, and it will be our preferred place to stay whenever we visit Put-in-Bay. "

"The sign out front says this was the number one Independent hotel. I didn’t go to other hotels so I have nothing to compare it too. However, I think they would definitely be in the running. It was very clean. It was reasonably priced. And it had great family attractions, such as a pool with slides, a hot tub, picnic area, and a swingset. I would definitely stay here again. This was very close to Cedar Point, beds were comfortable, and hotel was clean. If this hotel could improve anything would be to make shower heads higher and add a few cereals and bread choices (like English muffins) to continental breakfast. Breakfast had limited variety. Overall. I recommend this hotel. "
