"Beautiful historic hotel . Rooms could do with electric outlets next to the beds and bathrooms could be updated. The service is bit too formal- when we requested a dinner reservation we could not get the time we wanted and when we arrived a half hour after our requested time there were only two tables taken- it was empty. "

"Amazing place great room, two swimming pools good restaurant,if slightly limited menu but friendly staff Ideal for a trip to Evora which is about 15 miles away with good parking just outside town.also not far from a megalithica worth a vist but it is a long hike up the hill to see it."

"Very nice. Super clean with great host mr João. It’s affordable, great breakfast the staffs are super attentive, friendly and very helpful. I felt so welcomed and throughly enjoy my stay, I highly recommend casa do plátano. "

"We stayed in this hotel for one night. It’s right in the heart of the wine region and we visited a vineyard before arriving for the night. Easy to park in the underground car park but there’s also plenty of parking on the street. Super easy check-in and offered drink as we arrived which was nice. The hotel has an indoor pool and some Thermo circuit spas which were great to relax in the afternoon and morning. Lovely breakfast with a good choice, including eggs Benedict. The bedroom was nicely decorated with a decent king-size bed that was very comfortable blackout blinds, large pretty windows. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel we opted to walk out to one of the local restaurants. There was plenty of choice."

"The building of the hotel is very special and unique, we really love it. Staff are very friendly, room is very clean, the breakfast is great!!"

"Great hotel and great amenities. The staff was amazing and so was the food. Unfortunately it is located in an area with little surrounding such as a supermarket, restaurants … also no phone service but a great WiFi coverage. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday."
