"Great place to stay to visit the area. We only stayed one night so we could visit the Samaria Gorge but wish we'd have been staying longer! The rooms have everything you need and the staff were very welcoming. The food was very tasty and we even went back for an evening meal after the Gorge!! The free transfers to the gorge are also really good. Definitely deserves more than 2 stars!!"

"The hotel is located in a lively neighborhood of Platanias with lots of dining options nearby. The room is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is onsite parking but it’s a bit tight to maneuver if you have a full size car. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Platanias Beach and Agia Marina is less than a mile away. "

"The Staff at Maleme Mare were always very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious and modern and cleaned daily. There are two lovely pools with comfortable loungers and a great bar and lounge. The food was great, with lots of variety including some excellent local dishes. The hotel is directly infront of a quiet pebble beach, which was perfect for us to go between the pool and beach. Our son also enjoyed the onsite games (table tennis, pool and air hockey) while we had a drink at the well equipped bar. Overall great stay, would definitely come back. "
