"During our recent stay in Sonoma, we were delighted to find The Cottage Inn & Spa, a charming boutique bed and breakfast that feels like a home away from home. Nestled in a walkable neighborhood, it’s just a leisurely stroll from the historic Sonoma Plaza, making it the perfect location for exploring the area. Every morning, we were greeted with the best baked goods delivered right to our door, a delightful treat that made our mornings even more special. After spending our days indulging in wine tastings throughout Napa and Sonoma, returning to The Cottage Inn & Spa was a perfect complement to our adventures. The ambiance was tranquil and welcoming, allowing us to unwind and relax after our excursions. A special mention goes to Denay, the gracious and efficient staff member who made our stay even more enjoyable with her warm hospitality. We truly felt cared for and appreciated throughout our visit. We can't wait for our next opportunity to return to this lovely retreat. The Cottage Inn & Spa is a gem in Sonoma, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable escape."

"This was a beautiful property and extremely clean home! The layout and amenities were top-notch and the location was perfect for exploring the Sonoma area and wineries. I especially liked the Fender Acoustic signed by the 'The Chicks' (I assume formerly the Dixie Chicks)! The guitar was nicely in-tune with new strings. Really enjoyed playing it. Thank you for sharing that personal touch. The weather wasn't warm enough to enjoy the deck and back yard, but I'm sure we would have thoroughly enjoyed that. We would definitely look to stay here again."

"The hotel was as pictured. Clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The property had a refresh at some point but showers are looking a bit aged. The flooring in our room was uneven and in some places springy. Great location for walking to the charming Sonoma Plaza. Our room must have been located near the dumpsters as we heard quite a bit of noise with lids being closed at 10 o’clock at night."

"We enjoyed our stay at this property. It's on the small side, but with just two of us in the property, it wasn't a problem. It had a nice deck, but we didn't get to use it as it rained both days we were there (what are the odds). We had a dedicated parking spot which was large enough for our van (another plus). There was a thorough manual for the property that answered all of your questions. That's nice to have available so you don't have to continually contact the property manager. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. We would definitely stay here again."
Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

"It was a beautiful old restored property. Loved the big jacuzzi tub in the Mission Spa suite. I felt we should have been able to do the geothermal pools for free due to paying $800/night for the room. We didn't have a four poster bed as advertised in all the photos and the room seemed smaller. Spa pools closed at 8pm which was much too early for us. No free breakfast, was just a lot more money for less amenities than we experienced in our hotel the prior night which cost 60% as much. Could be a more memorable experience ti make it more personalized. I called ahead letting the hotel know we were celebrating a double birthday and they did put some flowers and chocolate in the room which was nice, and the man at the spa was very nice to us and gave us a discount due to the fact that we only had 30 mins to go in the spa pools and the valet parking guys as well let us park for free overnight. I'd say the staff on site were very friendly and helpful but the sales team reps and the people I spoke to over the phone/the corporate Fairmont system and pricing for this hotel made it overpriced for the value we received. We still enjoyed ourselves but it could have been better."

"Good property. A little old. Kitchen Good. Bring your own spices and Condiments. Property is not in a forest. It may have been 50 years ago. Now in densely populated suburban community. A little disappointed that next door house was 10 ft away. We had a great time but advertisement should be a little more accurate."
