Booked three days only stayed one, was told by clerk refund would be given through Expedia, they would not respond to Expedia for verification. Ripped me off for two nights. "Stopped here en route to Italy by car, very much off the beaten track. Lovely countryside location, very peaceful. Pleasant welcome. good room with all facilities, bed was adjustable and very comfortable. Decor a little dated, but this is part of the charm of choosing a rural hotel. "Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home.
