Slovenia is full of remarkable places to visit. A few hours northeast of Ljubljana, the capital, lies a region of alpine valleys that will take your breath away. I took this photo shortly after sunrise on the ridge between two of those valleys. Having your own set of wheels certainly makes getting around this area a lot easier. For accommodation I'd recommend Luce, a small town a stone's throw away from the action, where there are a few options. The trails can be hard to locate and very slippery when covered with snow so tread carefully or, preferably, wait until it disappears. #slovenia #travel #hiking

Kamnik is a small medieval town around 20 km north-east of Ljubljana. There are a couple of castles here, and the town is surrounded by mountains. Very beautiful. Train is €2.58 each way; takes 40 minutes
