"Conveniently located where the boat docks, and where the buses/coaches -drop and start from. Walkable to reception where we were handled in a very pleasant manner. Given a Viking room with an excellent view of the waterfalls. Provided with eye masks as they have a skylight. If you like a dark room then you need to use them, as the at this time of year, not very much darkness. Ear plugs were provided as well. Room had a bed, chairs, tables, tv, kettle with some cups and coffee, plus small amount of information. Bathroom - shower, toilet, sink, towels, shower gel/soap. Interesting vegetation on roof. Room was decorated well however small areas in corners and around window, could be looked at to improve. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Relaxing night would recommend saying there."

"We (myself, husband and toddler) stayed for 3 nights in late May 2025. It was a last minute booking for an impromptu trip to Norway. We had no issues with late check in or late check out. The view and setting of this place are 12/10; the pics speak the truth! It is situated ~23 min from Stryn and ~60min from Geiranger. It was an excellent home base. The grounds are well kept. We stayed in the old historic building. It was a bit tight to leave the suitcases open and walk around in The Wilhelmina suite. The balcony had an amazing view. There was a mini fridge. No safe (no hotels on our trip had a safe). The springwater bathtub and heated bathroom floors were a nice touch. The bathroom curtains were shorter than the window and also sheer. Given that a small portion of the view includes a parking lot and the cafe, we did improvise by putting decorative cushions on the window sill for our comfort. The host was the most helpful person we have come across on a trip; he helped us make plans for all 3 days and they worked out for us. He helped us with alternative plans when it rained. We were going to run out of clean clothes and he was able to arrange laundry for us for a neglible fee. The breakfast was on par with similarly reviewed hotels in W Norway. Breakfast is held in a large food hall with views of the lake and mountains. They had toys my toddler loved. It is a beautiful family run place away from the crowds and with lots of character. Definitely a must stay! "
