"Stayed here several times in the last few years. Always enjoyed our stays, However, this visit was disappointing. Perhaps it was the lack of staff over a weekend but….. got the wrong room, no towels in the reassigned room and room was not cleaned at 17.30 the following day. We’re old farts and needed a lie down….. Front desk was very professional and apologetic. This hotels has little competition at this price point, and has so many things going for it, but this visit was less than memorable"

"A very warm welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel is beautiful, spacious and has a lovely scent. The bedrooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable! Breakfast is highly recommended with a range of food to suit all your requirements. Amazing cocktails in the evening with two different restaurants! Staff were friendly, always available to offer support and couldn’t do more for you. The spa area is serene with a heated inside pool. If you follow the aqueduct downhill you get to the metro which is easy to navigate if you want to get onto Porto. A great place to stay ."

"The first room I was giving had not been cleaned. But was given another room. The hotel was very nice and centrally located. "

"Spacious dining area and also a kitchen. Good breakfast as well. There's a place to wash and hang your laundry. But the room was a bit cold and we had to ask the front desk for heating several times. Heating is controlled by the front desk, and it is turned on for an hour or so only. Since it was still cold at night, wish they left it turned on during the night."

"The santana hotel is so well situated for the camino , and perfect for the end of a long day of walking. The massage I had there was wonderful."

"Lovely apartment, clean and with everythibg needed. Carlos and his wife were great hosts and very quick to respond. Vila do Conde is a good place to stay, beautiful beaches, all shops etc and easy to get to from airport and for day trips into Porto. I would really recommend this as a place to stay and enjoy Portugal. "
