"We really enjoyed our stay at Glacier World Hoffell. The location was beautiful, and the room felt modern, clean, and nicely renovated. The bathroom was very clean, I loved the shower soaps, and the bed was comfortable. One of the best parts was the view from our windows. We could see the glacier right from our room, and during our stay we also saw reindeer, horses, and sheep, which made the setting feel extra special.
Having access to the hot tubs was amazing and very much appreciated after a long day of glacier hiking and waterfall hiking. Breakfast the next morning was good, and the staff we interacted with were kind and helpful. They even let us borrow bowls so we could have soup in our room the night we arrived, which we really appreciated.
The only issue was that we were woken up around 11 p.m. by a very loud fire alarm. There was definitely not a fire, and my guess is that it may have been triggered by steam from another guest’s shower or by a malfunctioning alarm. Guests followed the posted instructions and stood outside in the cold rain for more than 30 minutes before anpther guest's travel agent contacted the fire department and firemen and a hotel employee arrived to turn it off. I understand false alarms can happen, but a clearer emergency protocol, a number that is answered after hours, and a little more follow-up afterward would have helped."
