"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"We couldn't fault the stay at all. The location was beautiful,it was easy to find, peaceful and quiet. The house served as an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District. Coming home to soak in the hot tub was an ideal way to end a busy day."

And Mint Cake Mews is perfectly placed… a 2 minute walk into Kendal and a 5 minute drive to the main arterial routes to Windermere, Keswick, etc. The property has been tastefully modernised throughout, the accommodation was comfortable, and easy to keep clean for dog owners. "An ideal quiet location with access to Penrith and the Lakes. Well appointed modern property, private parking. Host could not have been more friendly and helpfull. We did have a couple of issues with the Verbo discription verse actual facilities- however host was quick to sort out and offered us alternative very close by. Thanks for that. All in all we had a great stay and would not hesitate to book again next time we visit the lakes."

"Lovely cottage very spacious, housed a family of six and dogs very well. There was nothing we needed for cooking and washing. Great washer and dryer. The bedrooms are very spacious and very cosy. Towels provided and beds all made when we arrived. Lovely little village and loads of walks around the place and plenty of places to drive to within a short distance. Only bugbear was the water heater and hot water, for the first day we had no hot water in the kitchen and en-suite, which rectified...

"We loved our stay and were delighted with the property, a stunning barn conversion in a pretty village - three large en-suite bedrooms with comfy beds and double height living area, tastefully furnished, well equipped kitchen and a beautiful well-kept garden. "Booked for my husband's 60th. Accommodated the eight of us and the dog beautifully. Each couple had their own bathroom although the one by the front door was not ensuite but this was not a problem for us.The sofa is huge and we were all able it sit/stretchout comfortably. The townhouse is fitted out to a high standard and is well equipped. The staff were extremely helpful and sorted an issue with the sky box straight away. "Bathrooms and bedrooms great, kitchen not great but adequate, dining room good with plenty of mats for the table, sitting room ok but furniture a bit shabby, utility room good with good quality white goods. Garden not good for children of all ages really, nowhere to kick a ball and so steep we couldn’t let the little ones play at all outside, not that we had the weather to do that anyway!! All in all a good house but could be better. "
