"We stayed 2 nights in the penthouse suite (June 2026). Parking is hit or miss...there are 4 spaces next to the hotel, otherwise you have to park down the side, hugging the wall, or on the border of some scrubland - this seems to be the norm for the area. There was no charge for parking.
A lovely warm welcome from the lady on reception (sorry I didn't note your name).
Our room had amazing views over the city and ocean and were modern & clean.
On arrival the air conditioning wasn't working in the main living area but this was swiftly attended to.
Kitchen was useful and we cooked on both evenings so as to enjoy the large terrace which had plenty of outdoor seating and sun loungers.
We set the hot tub water temp to 35c which was perfect (outdoor air temp was around 29c) and made good use of it.
Just a few mins walk downhill to the promenade with lots of bars and restaurants. Easy flat walk to Makarska centre and a very picturesque walk around the headland.
Breakfast offerings were a little disappointing - the coffee machine was downright awful (a grey sludge) so on the 2nd day I paid a little extra for a proper coffee, which was lovely. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Our only wish was that we had booked a longer stay!"
