"Lovely old fashioned pub with pretty hanging baskets . Our room was large and nicely furnished . The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on and the ensuite had a bath and shower which was fantastic . We couldn't fault the fish and chips that we had in their restaurant and there were 3 choices of real ale on handpump , which made us happy. Breakfast was served between 7.30 and 9.30 and was excellent. The only downside was the road noise in the morning , but we will be happy to...

"A nice family stay, quiet village pub. The host was very helpful including recommending an evening meal in the next village which was great (fighting cocks pub). It seems the venue has stopped doing food, but having said that she still provided us with a perfectly good breakfast. The room was clean, a nice little street village view, we all slept well. Great for country walking, a family visit and somewhere quieter in a local pub."

"Nice enough staff. The pub looked like a 1970’s Benidorm recreation of a British pub with a ceiling full of beer mats. Food was ok but a little overpriced for pub grub. The outside area was filthy. The doors to the outbuildings that house the rooms were ramshackle. The rooms themselves looked like they were last decorated about 30 years ago. The TV was a 20 year old mini tv with free view that didn’t hold the signal. Neither tv or kettle had a PAT testing sticker. The bathroom was grubby...
