The house is very inviting, spacious, and clean. The only complaint we have is that we were never told that the house had a heater. We were told that the rooms had heaters, but they were small and outdated and one of them was not in working condition. We knew the few logs in the fireplaces were not going to be enough and keep us warm for the following 2 days, so unbeknownst to us, we took some of the neighbor's wood and contacted the property manager. The property manager brought us new heaters that same evening and we made it through the first night. In the morning of day 2, we fired up one of the fireplaces but it was not enough....we were freezing. As we were trying to warm-up, the neighbor knocked on the door and let us know that the wood we had taken was not ours and that it was the third time that his wood was taken by tenants. We of course, apologized and explained that we were cold, and offered to pay for the wood. The neighbor asked if we had turned on the heater and we told him that it didn't have one (because we were never told it did). He asked to come in, went directly to the thermostat, and figured it out....what a relief (it was 50 degrees)! We were grateful and gave him some cash for the wood. It would have been nice and a huge difference if we would have walked-in to a comfortable temperature, or at minimum knowledge of the heater and instruction on how it worked. We would definitely stay again now that we know it has a working heater.
