"The hotel was amazing, very laid back atmosphere yet the staff are super friendly and helpful. The view of the Aegean is also spectacular which we enjoyed while sitting near the pool drinking their amazing cocktails. It’s also not very far from town, about a 9 minute drive to the port and a 4 minute drive to Plakes and there’s also plenty of parking."

"We loved our stay here the front desk staff was helpful especially with navigating the bus routes! Our room was beautiful. There was easy access to a very nice beach. There were a couple restaurant options within walking distance on the beach. It’s about at 20 minute walk to old town Skiathos or a quick bus route from stop 5 to stop 0. Breakfast was okay for a breakfast buffet."

"Beds are less than desirable and pool area could use a good cleaning. Staff is super kind and helpful. Breakfast is delivered to the room so coffee isn’t warm by the time it makes it to you. No soap or toiletries of any kind. This isn’t a place to stay if you struggle with steps."

The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. "Cortesia, ospitalità e praticità sono le parole d'ordine! La Pensione Margarita è un ottimo punto d' appoggio per una una o due notti. La struttura è pulita ed il personale disponibile e molto ospitale. Ottimo il servizio navetta dall' aeroporto. Peccato per alcuni dettagli (vedi la tenda del bagno che sarebbe da cambiare) e l' insonorizzazione della camera. Sono arrivati ospiti intorno alle 23.30 e sembrava di averli in stanza con noi."
