"We actually ended up staying at the Cabin in the Sky on this trip. It's a larger cabin but just as cozy and comfortable as the smaller one in Upper Canyon. The host is amazing--she is very communicative and has ensured that the cabin has everything you might need. The location is great--the cabin is very close to Midtown, Grindstone Lake, the Cedar Creek trails, restaurants, and more. My favorite part was the large screened in porch and deck. When we weren't out and about, I spent most of my time sitting on the porch enjoying the amazing weather and the birds! "

"We were very comfortable in the home! It was very clean. My only critique is the dated bathrooms. They were fine but need updating. "

"Spent a week at this location, which was beautiful, even with the burn scar. Neighbors on both sides lost their homes to the fire.There was daily, all day, noise in the backyard of tractors repairing the river. Once they left, it was wonderfully quiet. The deck table down by the river was a victim of the flood, which we were not told about.The lock didn’t work, so we spent 45 minutes waiting for it to be reset.The oven filled up with smoke when we tried to use it. Apparently there was something spilt in the bottom. The outdoor grill was not the same in the pics and it was NASTY. If we didn’t bring our air fryer with us, we would have been challenged to cook meals.The kitchen breaker tripped twice as well. All of the floors were dirty, our black socks showed us that. The house was not stocked well. Only 2 towels and 1 washcloth for each bathroom. We had to wash towels twice during our stay!!Overall it was a beautiful stay, but many things need to be addressed. I did NOT tell the management company because we didn’t want a repair person there. A bit more attention to detail for a vacation home would make this a return stay. "
