LV 72 was built in 1903 by John Crown & Sons of Sunderland for Trinity House. Her hull is made of iron and, during World War 2, she was involved in the D Day landings. She was sold out of service in 1973 to Steel Supply Co., Neath for scrapping. When sold she was the oldest vessel in the Trinity House fleet. She was later considered for conversion to a floating night club but the project did not go ahead. She is now on a mud berth on the River Neath in poor condition.

"It was a lovely modern property with nice beds and great kitchen. The seating area outside was great. Very central location. Parking is a bit of a pain as the nearby car parks are very expensive (£17/24hr v Swansea which are £5/24hr). No nearby free street parking. Mumbles is a very busy place. If you’re a light sleeper I’d advise earplugs as we found it quite noisy. Excellent communication from host and all in all a great place to stay whilst visiting the area "

"We booked a long weekend with family. Lovely location. Excellent facilities!! Really comfortable. One of the bedroom doors wouldn’t stay closed, (much to the annoyance of our 18 year old daughter), but certainly not major issue. Did also find some broken glass in the garden but we just swept up before we let our dog out there!!! Would definitely book again!!! "

"The communication at check-in was excellent. The house is on a secluded space set back from the road. It is quite small but fine for a single traveller or couple. The bedroom is a very good size with a decent shower room en-suite. It is warm and the kitchen is well equipped in the main. I notice a number of people have said the bed was comfortable but I would say if you have neck or back issues it may not be ideal. "We stayed at Sessile Oak by Marston's Inns and really appreciated its convenient location — close to shopping malls, a beach, and with easy access to nearby destinations. The property offered a peaceful setting, perfect for a relaxing break. On arrival, there was a bit of a queue, but the staff handled it professionally and were genuinely pleasant throughout our stay.
