The only let down was the selfish behaviour from the room next door, who clearly didn’t give a damn about who they disturbed at all hours of the night and the mess they left in the shared kitchen."

"Very clean and a great kitchen area to make dinner. The place is about 15 mins from the M62. Breakfast is cereal and juices, toast etc. So not cooked but presumably you could use the hob etc . A comfortable stay and a good barn conversion building."

"We booked our stay back in September. On 13th October we travelled 200 miles from Scotland, arriving at 8pm, to find it closed. It transpired that the hotel had gone out of business on 5th October. No one had thought to inform us, and cancel our booking! I spent an hour on the phone speaking to various people in America, employed by Hotels.com, assuming they would be able to help, perhaps by arranging alternative accommodation. Instead they each wasted time by going through the same pointless...

"The price I paid for booking on Hotels.com was contested by the guest house owner as being in error. After several phone calls, it was determined that this was no fault of my own, but rather a programming glitch. Yet I was made to feel responsible for this: The room I was given was not what I had booked. There was also no safe in the room as indicated on the booking. The room looked tired, needing some TLC maintenance (dusty rafters, sagging bed, broken chest of drawers, broken trimmings,...

"stayed here as we were seeing stereophonics at the arena and handy for the tram. dropped the bags in the room and went straight out, got in 2am had breakfast and left. it was clean, breakfast was nice and we slept ok. every staff member was friendly can't say anything bad about the place."
