"This is a newer (and cheaper) addition to the Magma Hotel (that’s where you check in). You don’t get the lake view, but it is a neat, tidy little unit that I’d happily stay in again. Great home base for sites like Seljalandfoss and Skogafoss (~1.0-1.5 hr drive) and Fjadrargljufur (15 min drive). Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast at Magma Hotel is an additional cost. I loved having a kitchenette and mini fridge/freezer, since I was traveling with groceries and an ice pack for a bum knee. Twin bed was very comfortable - it is tucked against a wall and looks out onto sky and a small hill (nothing special but felt natural, earthy and private). Shower is compact and walk-in - includes shampoo and shower gel only, no conditioner. Handy to have a clothes rod, a cabinet that fit my suitcase, and drawers that fit my hiking backpack. Towel warmer, hair dryer, nespresso/tea, and basic kitchen supplies (small pots & pans, silverware, china, etc.) in unit. Dining room has wonderful food and attentive service. If you are light or noise sensitive, be aware that there is a street light outside (you can pull the window blind down) and I could hear some mild noise/quiet murmuring from the unit next door. At about half the price of a room at the Magma Hotel, this felt worth it! (Pics include in-unit shots, nighttime view out the window, and the evening sky on my walk back from the Magma dining room.)"

"The apartment was spotless, and the check-in and check-out instructions were easy to follow. Plus, we had to drive a few miles on a gravel road to get there, which added a bit of adventure. The view was also lovely!"
