You can't see or hear any other properties --you're deep in the Northwoods. We saw Trumpeter Swans, beaver, an eagle, and caught 50 to 60 large and smallmouth bass, one being 19 inches long!We also drove our 4x4 on most of the 20 to 30 (My estimate) miles of on-property atv trails."

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We brought our paddle boards so being right on Lake Independence was great. The living space was very clean, had everything we needed (including a comfortable bed!), and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We also loved being about 35 minutes from Marquette - there is a wonderful Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings that we recommend going to. We also enjoyed hiking at Yellow Dog Falls and Dead River Falls (more advanced). We had a great trip and would stay here again! "
