"Beautiful and well appointed. Loved the huge communal area. Makes up for the small sleeping rooms. We spent the evening playing cards and then watched a movie. At 1AM the sunset was STUNNING. RED SKY across 180 degrees of the horizon lighting up all the snow capped mountains. Thank you for sharing your space with us. We were supposed to get an email about our room number before 14:00 but someone forgot. We had to take the keys left on the counter and open all three rooms in order to find our room. We are 4 people so it was not difficult. Just wanted to tell you we had to do that. Instructions were there for another party but not for us. We figured it out."

"The cabin was adequate, definitely well used, but clean and very quiet. The food at the restaurant was delicious! The staff was very friendly and inviting."

"Was nice to have a family room with couches to relax on after staying in hotels all week. Nice kitchen area, both rooms had twin beds and black out curtains. Loved the views and watching the water from every room. Great restaurant retro Mathus just a short walk across the bridge. "

"Getting to the guesthouse was a bumpy ride, be careful midway as there is a big difference in elevation, our suv most definitely hit the ground pretty hard. Other than this instance, the host was sweet and greeted me and gave me a tour for the guesthouse. The room was quaint and the facilities were clean. There is a hot tub in the back but i wasn’t able to check it out, though it wouldve been nice if I wasnt so tired. Would recommend! :)"

"Wonderful 2-week stay photographing Northern Lights and exploring the middle-north of Iceland. Excellent, comfortable, basic rooms, with a very nice shared kitchen. There's a small store across the street with gas/benzin, a moderate range of foods and supplies, and a selection of fresh fruits/vegetables. Host is responsive and friendly, and multiple times asked if I needed anything. I can highly recommend Sunnuberg Guesthouse. It is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable as a home base for exploring the region."
