"Siglufjordur and the cabin at Herring House was by far our favourite stay on Ring Road! Helga and Dagur were so welcoming, offering great suggestions for hiking, restaurants and all the attractions of the area. They were always quick to respond and also offered up great tips for viewing the midnight sun and generously filled the hot tub for us each night. The cabin was beautifully designed, super cozy and had a private location hillside overlooking Siglufjordur. We really enjoyed morning coffees and the spectacular views from the front porch. Siglufjordur was on our list originally because of Ragnar Jónasson’s novels and the Netflix tv series Trapped, but besides that it is such a charming place. We hope to be back!"

"I would only suggest that there be a house number on the building , slightly confusing and moving the stereo in the back dresser and putting a small sofa against the railing! Give an area to relax in."

"Incredible location for the spring, backcountry skier. Nice 2 bedroom layout. Kitchen was easy. Shared bathroom not the best. But seperate shower room helps. A bit of a jaunt from town, but quiet and serene upon arrival. No cell signal. But wifi was consistent, minus one day when it went blank. Hike and ski right from your deck."

"This location was everything we wanted. The view is beautiful. We were able to access the city and be separate. The property had parking and lights that could be turned off and on a timer (which was cool) and we even ended up finding that there were sheep on the property! Thanks for letting us stay!"
