"I stayed at this property by myself in May of 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hopkins. The area is great for a solo traveller and I felt safe and welcome during my stay. My week started with a two hour power blackout which is apparently quite common in Belize, but Mirko quickly dropped off a battery powered lantern which was very helpful. The rest of my stay was very good as the property had everything I needed including a fully stocked kitchen, filtered water supply, an icemaker on the fridge and excellent air condition throughout the house which was much needed as it was very hot during the week I was there. Mirko arranged an excellent snorkeling trip for me on one of the days and I sampled many great restaurants within 10 minutes from the property. I would recommend this house to any traveler and would happily come back and stay again."

"Large rooms, great porch area with fantastic views, nice backyard for relaxing and watching the sea. Fans and air conditioning were welcome in the warm humid climate. Bikes and kayaks a bonus though the water was a bit choppy to use kayaks much. Able to swim but have to walk out a bit, A few jelly fish showed up but not many"

"Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back "

The Placencia offers transportation in town and arranges pick up for fun stuff to do as well.i will definitely stay there again! The locals are great people! Super friendly and accommodating!
