"We just had a 1 night stay on a Sunday (which did limit our dining options). Hotel is walkable (with luggage) from/to the train station, which added to its already very good value. We enjoyed its quiet location, short walk to old town (to see the “required” statues of Cyrano & the river). Clean & comfortable room. We did not partake of breakfast. Pleasant & helpful staff (helping me to print some required paperwork & advising on dining options)."

"Domaine de Grande Fort is a beautiful place to stay. Situated near Bergerac and overlooking the River Dordogne, our hosts Isabelle and Stephane made us very welcome. We had an excellent dinner and a fine breakfast the next morning. As we sat eating our meals outdoors looking down to the river and across to the beautiful gardens we were sorry that we were just staying for one night. We will return to this peaceful place."
