"Queen room with balcony was very spacious and enjoyed having the option to sit out on the balcony. Rooms could use an update as walls and counters had chips. A bit larger refrigerator would be helpful. A very, small mini refrigerator in room. Enjoyed drinks on the roof top bar. Good place to have a drink but better options in the area to enjoy a good meal. Front staff very accommodating."

"We checked into this amazing property after a not so great rental home at 11:30 at night after a 6 Hour drive. We were greeted by Autumn who was not only super helpful but very pleasant at that time of night. She went above and beyond to help us get into our room as well as giving us two free lunches for the next day. I can honestly say there was not one staff member that did not ask if we need help the entire stay. My son goes to the Keswick School so I visit that area often and now I have the best hotels to say when I come down! I made sure the other parents at the school knew as well that this is the place to stay."

"What a completely relaxing cabin! We felt very secluded and private. The road up to the cabin was a little tricky the first time but once we got used to it, it was fine. The cabin was well stocked. Sr. Ho’s humble pie was a great recommendation with plenty of bang for the buck. Would gladly visit again!"

"Five stars! With a property circa 1830 (so much charm), I didn’t expect such a quiet luxe experience—great bed, pillows, and linens, soft robes, perfect in-room coffee service, convenient for plugging in all your modern technology, well thought-out lighting, very tasteful decor (in keeping with the history of the place, but elegant, well thought-out, and uncluttered) and super clean. Totally charming and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific and inviting — and the touches of elegance and design extended to the serveware and freshly cut and arranged wildflowers on the tables. Finally, the staff was beyond reproach. So welcoming, friendly, and at the ready to help with anything. I was so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We stayed in the Monticello room which was on the small side but perfectly serviceable. We stayed at the Inn because we were visiting Pippin Winery (for a second time) for lunch—which is a must if you’re in the area. The food is inventive and delicious, the setting is picture perfect, the service is friendly and approachable, and the wines blew me away—IMHO better by a country mile than what was on offer at Barboursville, Chiswell Farms, or Afton vineyards. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel was very busy the weekend I was there. They had 4 wedding parties and there were two concerts in town. It was after 5:00pm before they had a room available for me. The staff did their best and I suspect this was out of their control. Once I was settled into my room the rest of the stay was without issue. Breakfast was typical of a hotel without a restaurant. Nothing to write home about but not terrible either."

"Wonderful weekend--the property over-delivered. We will definitely stay here again. The dogs most definitely will. After running around the property for two days, I wasn't sure we'd get them to come home."
Loveshack, a charming tiny house on a 5 acre farm

"The loveshack is next to the house, but shrubs and bamboo growing on either side still help it feel private. The property is clean and I love the location being a bit secluded with land and horses. I loved the amount of natural light that the multiple sliding back doors let. The super soft carpet in front of the couch was a favorite of mine.There is a jacuzzi tub with 2 windows with a view. This is something that I wanted when searching for rentals. Preferable putside but with all the windows this one seemed nice. I was really looking forward to using the jacuzzi bathtub. I brought bubble bath and a face mask, but it was a little challenging to figure out in time so I was unable to use it. So if that is something you are hoping for, ask about it ahead of time.The owners were helpful and easily reachable during our stay. The first morning we woke up seeing horses at the gate by the back door.I recommend staying here."
