Carles (property manager ) and his brother were always available for questions and responded immediately. The local town of Sils was lovely, and we also loved going into Girona. "The hotel spaces and especially our room were exquisitely decorated, calm and peaceful and in excellent condition. It was very hot while we were there, but the air-con worked very well. The shower was powerful and controllable. The guest pool was great (we did not use either spa, this visit) and empty at 7:30 am. Breakfast was very good and we only paid £7 each per day. Dinner seemed a little expensive for a limited buffet, but the food was well cooked and tasty. The bar was small but really comfortable, with a fair choice of wines and beers, and offered some nice looking bar food. All staff were helpful and friendly. The only issue was some irritating insects, which really required insect repellent as soon as you get out your car. Otherwise, this resort is lovely and we had a great couple of nights here. "

"The pool, garden, outdoor kitchen and the view are lovely. We had some great meals sitting outside by the pool. Communication was difficult and I don't believe the English listing was accurate. I know that I searched for properties with AC and a pool, as we were traveling with my 80 year old family member. But the listing does not say AC. This property does not have air conditioning, and gets very hot. The shutters are unsecured so they bang back and forth in any wind. In spite of Uschi's assurances, there are indeed plenty of mosquitoes if you leave the windows open. If you don't mind that, it's a lovely house. It could do with a deep cleaning, lots of spider webs. It also apparently listed the need to bring your own towels on the German listing, but not on the English. I have never had to bring my own linens to any VRBO ever, and with small luggage weight limits flying from overseas, I would not have booked here had I known. If you want to watch TV, you must bring your own DVDs. The listing mentions cable/satellite, but is not accurate. If you want music, you must bring CDs or cassettes. It felt a bit like camping but in a house abandoned in the 80s. "
