"We had a really good stay at El Pekinaire. Great location just a few minutes walk from the beach or restaurants. The room was very clean and modern, with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good and staff friendly and helpful. We used the parking option which was good value compared to the on street parking and kept our hire car safe inside. "

"Cute hotel on a quiet street close to the pedestrian part of downtown. Beautiful antique wooden furniture and decorations. The innkeeper is very friendly and speaks many languages. Check in was smooth and professional and our room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was very nice, served in a gorgeous dining room with various breads and Spanish meats and cheese as well as American style eggs, bacon, cereal, plus fruit and yogurt. "Where to begin. The outside looks great then you get into the actual building. It starts off with no lighting in the hallways. Once getting to my room we encountered a Smokey, cold dwelling with hints of dog or other animal. I attempted to view our non-functional TV moving on to our patio impeded by plastic lounge chairs stacked up to the ceiling . Making our way to the bathroom we encountered someone’s underwear left on the floor from the last occupant, no soap or shampoo and a wet floor of...

"Accueil sympathique mais c'est tout...en 4 nuit les serviettes de bain n'ont pas été changées et lits n'ont pas été fait...chambre et salle de bain minuscules pour 3, literie de très mauvaise qualité, très mal insonorisé, pas de fenêtres, clientèle très bruyante, pas de gel douche ni de shampoing et 1 seul rouleau de papier toilette en 4 jours...bref hormis l'accueil sympathique et la proximité du centre ville rien de bien. On est quand même presque 100€ la nuit a ce prix là nous attendions...

"Bonavista is at the edge of the tourist area, in a quiet part of Calella. 10 mins away from the beach, the same distance to the main street with the restaurants & shops. It is a very basic hotel, but very clean. Rooms were cleaned & bedding changed daily. When we arrived it was very late & the night porter opened the bar for us so we could have a beer, which was great. We asked for extra pillows & towels & received them within minutes. "The hotel is just 10mins walk to the train station. There are also taxis. About 15 mins walk to the beach. Shopping and groceries and small shops around. Good location and you'll feel safe even at walking at night. "
