FASTHOTEL Le Mans Nord Saint-Saturnin - UN FH CONFORT

"Looking for an overnight stay, near the northernly side of Le Mans with an overnight locked car park. Arrive late. Lovley lady at cleck in, who for some reason knew in seconds that my french accent meant I spoke English! Lock the car and sleep. Up and away the next morning for a leisurely, non motorway, drive to get the boat from Cherbourg. For the price, Value. It is a motel so do not be looking for anything fancy, as I said value. The place was spotless and one of the best Air Cons, I have come across in years. There is a large Italian restaurant 2 minutes walking and a large Tesla charging point. It is also a 2 minute drive to a Auchan hyper market and a very large retail park with numerous restaurants. Breakfast was not expensive and I felt appropriately priced. I thought the fridge and the cooked meats looked a bit warm, so I gave them a miss. Several cups of black coffee and a couple of Pain au chocolat, are a great way to start a days drive."

"What a fantastic stay, the hosts were so welcoming, we enjoyed a welcome drink with them on arrival and they politely smiled through my broken French. The treehouse was a fantastic surprise with everything we needed, comfy beds, drinks in the mini bar and soft towels. We enjoyed use of their pool too. The views were incredible and lots of lovely, friendly animals which our daughter enjoyed meeting and feeding. The morning breakfast was delivered up to us from the host on a pulley and rope, such a fun experience and with beautiful, homemade cakes, Jams and perfectly cooked eggs, we couldn’t have asked for more. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly. Thank you"

"The gîte was extremely spacious and was ideal for our large family group of 7 adults and 6 children. The children especially loved the swimming pool as it was hard to keep them out of it. It was nice for the children to see the cattle, pigs and piglets and they enjoyed feeding them too! Having stayed at Le Jouteau the previous year we were looking forward to explore more of this delightful area of France - unfortunately it was too hot to go exploring - the pool won!Our hosts, Vinciane and her husband, were extremely helpful when we had some minor issues which were quickly résolved - many thanks. We also enjoyed some of their farm’s beef steaks - very tasty - and we brought some home too!). The gîte was easily accessible and we found some time to explore Le Mans using the brilliant Park and Ride tram service - which was helpful as I had some mobility issues so the tram helped enormously to get around. We definitely need to explore Le Mans some more! Another time perhaps."
