"The listing on Expedia turned out to be completely inaccurate providing the wrong address for the property. I only realized that something was wrong when the property manager revealed a different address from the one Expedia sent me. I had chosen the property mostly based on its supposed location and now the property manager listed an address 25km away from the listing! Needless to say that the real location was completely useless to me and I had to scramble a day before my arrival to find a suitable alternative accommodation. Although I was able to talk to people from Vrbo and was assured that I would get at least a 90% refund, I didn’t hear anything further for a whole week. Only a day before I left, I got a notice that the host “had to cancel my reservation.” The whole experience was super stressful and I ended up staying in a more expensive accommodation than the one that Expedia had falsely advertised."

"Check in open between 4.30 - 8.00pm - I called in early to ask for a later check in - was shown my room, given front door key to let myself in. Very accommodating. Great breakfast choices too. This was a great last minute booking - a wee gem of a place. "

"The property is neat and tidy. Everything we needed are provided, e.g. toiletries, hair dryer, all basic cooking utensils with seasoning as well. It is located in a small town, which is quiet. Also, it is between Glasgow and Edinburg, which is good to visit both places. Driving is a must."

"It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. The hosts were charming and attentive. It was fun to talk with them and the other guests, and the breakfast (made specially for each guest) was some of the best food I had while in the UK. The bathroom was pretty small, and the shower was one of those stand-alone ones that looks a bit like a box, but the bathroom and room were always very clean. The parking was a bit tight when every spot was full (I had a large rental car), but there was enough space for everyone. There was a cute bakery that is open in the mornings (and only takes cash) across the street as well as a post office and convenience store. The location isn't close to anything major, but it is nicely situated if you have a car and are hoping to travel to different places around Scotland. The wifi was great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. In particular, I appreciated the wonderful hosts who you could tell truly cared about all their guests and who go out of their way to make everyone's stay enjoyable. "
