"We had a lovely short stay at Mody. The hotel was well maintained and the rooms were very clean and quiet. The staff was also very helpful and the meals were very good."

"The breakfast was extremely disappointing and offered very little choice. There were no healthy options available, which was particularly disappointing. The only egg option was scrambled eggs apparently made from a carton with double cream, prepared in a plastic container in a microwave. The presentation and preparation were very unappetising, and the overall quality was not what I would expect from a hotel breakfast. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also unpleasant. The kitchen staff were talking and laughing very loudly, which was disturbing and made it difficult to enjoy breakfast in a relaxed environment. The service was equally disappointing. On two occasions, a waiter removed my coffee from the table while I was still there, without checking whether I had finished and without even apologising. This felt very inattentive and unprofessional. Overall, the breakfast experience was poor, both in terms of food quality and customer service. There is definitely room for significant improvement."

"Nice hotel, all was as expected. Absolutely miserable woman tending the bar - not customer oriented and restaurant order process was confusing as there are no wait staff and QR code for ordering in menu does not work . Aforementioned bar tender bluntly told us this when we told her we could not get it to work. Have to order food at bar but no signage or direction to do this was posted."

"We stayed for 4 nights in September. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful. Parking was plentiful though it's important to register the car rego to avoid fines. The hotel is conveniently situated with a 5 minute walk to a shopping centre with a M&S and a Morrisons for groceries and a variety of other shops. Across from the shopping centre is the Gyle tram stop with a 20 minute ride right into Princes Street. The room was very spacious and comfortable though the air con was rather loud."
