"We loved the hotel and where it was situated, our room was nice and clean but views was sadly lacking, bar and staff very good but I felt the outside has the potential of being better , nothing seriously wrong but a little more effort and it’ll be lovely . We would definitely come back"

"The hotel interior is very tired and in need of a deep clean. And the furniture has seen better days. The bed had no headboard and oily hand prints could be seen on the wall where the headboard should be. The shower worked okay but the shower screen and bath sealant were dirty and worn. The carpets in the hall were very dirty and the door to our hotel room had obviously been prised open a few times in the past due to the damage visible around the door frame and lock. "Last-minute booking for Goodwood Festival of Speed and luckily we found a room here. It was better than I expected from photo, a spacious room with a 4-poster bed, the bathroom had a bath and a walk-in shower. Although no air-con, there was a large fan and we slept well. "Different kind of stay- think upmarket Airbnb but as a hotel. No staff on site- (although there was when we checked in as the house keeper and the owner appeared to be doing some maintenance). So all done by email- you get a code to access the doors. Our room was ready at 1pm- so it's an early check in which is good. Room was tidy and clean.
