"I was surprised that the staff at the reception desk spoke no English—nada. Hence communicating was quite difficult since I don’t speak any Japanese, nada. But it’s the case that English is not spoken almost anywhere in Shikoku. Apart from the language issue, my stay at the hotel was quite pleasant, the hotel location proved to be excellent for day trips on the island and my room was very comfortable. "

"The staff were very friendly, and helped us find the self-parking. The in-room massage chair was a nice surprise, and we used it often! The rain shower head was the best! Thank you! "

"Hotel room was big and spacious with lots of surfaces for spreading out your stuff. Only complaint was a lack of power outlets and none by the bed. There were two by the desk and luckily we had brought plugs that could support two charging cords. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of Japanese and western options at the buffet. Location right beside the station was very convenient. Easy walk to the shopping streets and lots of restaurants. Hotel also offers a variety of dining options. Would highly recommend."

"First off, the location was great, about a 10 minute walk from Matsuyama station, and right next to Matsuyama Castle. While the hotel is older, the room and bathroom were clean. There were some stains on the carpet and wall paper, and the plastics in the bathroom are little yellowed, but still overall clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the the room was quite large, at least by Japan budget hotel standards. I paid slightly more for a castle view room, and the view was definitely worth the extra money. Overall, I think the hotel is a good value, personally had no regrets staying here, and would gladly stay here again."

"The building was somewhat outdated, but it was well-maintained and clean. Most importantly, the service was excellent. When I originally reserved two rooms for my family, they were on the separate floors. However, during check-in, the staff updated one of rooms from a single to a queen-size bed, allowing us to stay on the same floor at no extra changes."
