The reception is in a different place which is quite far from the accommodation place. We were informed that there would be a staff who would accompany us to the accommodation place. But when we checked in, we were told that the person was on vacation and we had to go there by ourselves and what they could do was just calling a taxi for us. "I had an incredibly memorable stay at this property! The owner checked us in at our designated time and was very friendly, helpful and informative. The home itself was beautiful, spacious and clean. I enjoyed the tea set that was put for us to try. I felt so relaxed at this place. The location of this property is a 3 min walk from bus stops and right next to the famous sight spots of Kyoto. I highly recommend staying at this place if you visit Kyoto! "

"While the property was very unique and large, it was quite dirty. There was dust on everything, used Bobby pins on several countertops, and hair on top of all the rocks by the bed. "

"Very nice traditional house. Very clean. The host is very friendly and accommodating. However this house is best suited for 4 people or less, not for 6 people nor people that has problem going up steep stairs as the two bedrooms are upstairs. Also, with only 1 shower it is not convenient for 6 people that wanted to shower. The other two people had to find another place to stay since it was super cramped."

"This should be a nice place to stay. However it is an extremely noisy area during the night (despite being on a small side street). With a large amount of cars and motorbikes passing during the night it is not a good place to stay as the walls are extremely thin."
