The owners are very friendly and helpful, giving you a quick brief on all there is to see and do in jiufen before taking you to your place. "Okay walking distance from the train station, but check-in was terrible. I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese. After an awkward minute on the phone they hung up, but a few minutes later I finally got instructions on how to get inside. "The scenery from the property in general and its roof top is second to none. The view of the temple and the beach is amazing. The hotel is at a great location, after visiting the shops in the alley, it ends with the hotel location. Lots of steps as expected in Jiufen but is worth it. We are luxky to book the ocean view room, it faces the rooftop sitting area, temple and the ocean. The dining room view and ambience is fantastic. Wouldnt want a different view.
