"Once a year my core friend group from college do our best to have a weekend together. It is a very special tradition and the Yellow Rose was absolute PERFECTION. It is spacious, the game room is so fun, the multiple patio spaces were perfect for chats all day, and the pool has a slide which we enjoy immensely. The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 stars was because it took literal weeks to hear from the management company when i asked questions. The other note would be that the VERY narrow...

"Stayed for two nights with no issues. The kitchen is very well stocked with sauces and spices. The AC is undersized, but we were going through a heat wave, so it would catch up at night. Outside was nice, but there were many giant but harmless spiders, which is likely why there were no bugs or mosquitos. The morning visits from about 10 Longhorns was enjoyable."

"We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the house in La Grange. The house was clean and cozy. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and evening, listening to the birds. We took a fun ride through the pasture in the ATV, and even did a little fishing in the pond. The house was just a quick drive away from Schulenburg for our tour of the painted churches. It worked out perfectly for our visit."

"This is a beautiful and unique property. Overall we enjoyed our time with family (10 adults, 12 kids under age 11). The pool is not heated, so swimming in May was a bit chilly. The bathroom arrangement is unique with one room that has three toilet closets and a separate room just down the hall with three dorm style showers. The landscape is breathtaking with plenty of room to spread out, and we were able to spot several alligators nearby."

"We had a wonderful stay in the historic Duncan House. The home was beautifully renovated with modern bathrooms and updated kitchen. The original floors in the kitchen and solid wood pocket doors in the dining area provided a glimpse into the home’s history. The original stairs gave us our daily workout with detailed woodwork. We enjoyed a lovely place to stay as we visited family in the area!"

"The inside of the house was great and had everything you would need. The pool was clean and well kept. The hot tub never got very hot but the home owner communicated with us the entire time and apologized for the inconvenience. He was very nice and even offered to let us check out late. Only reason I give it four instead of five stars is because 1) The Hot Tub and 2) The back yard was a bit over grown and could have used a fresh mowing. Aside from the two thing mentioned above it was great."
