"The road to get to this property is no joke! The write up on Shelter cove road is spot on. At the end of the road is a hidden gem. Black sand beaches, and quite a view. The property was going thru some renovations, but our room was spacious and clean. Open the door to your balcony, and the ocean is right there. Breakfast at the cafe was also very good, it’s not included with the room. "

"I was here for the Gimme Shelter Eighteenth Annual Kayak Gathering. The location was perfect. I used the oven to bake two native blackberry pies for the event potluck dinner. I parked my car with kayak on top in the provided parking area. It worked out well. I was able to rinse the salt water from my kayak gear with the host's permission after a successful (awesome) day fishing. I had a wonderful time."

"This was our first visit to northern California. We had a great view of the cove where there were sea lions and seals and enjoyed watching the birds and deer from the porch. We traveled to the redwoods which were not far. We also explored the General Store and enjoyed a meal at the brewery in Shelter Cove. All communication with the homeowner was prompt and courteous. Perfect trip!"
