The north country of NH is one of the better places to do star photography east of the Mississippi River. I took this picture right outside the campground along US Rt 2 at an abandoned rest stop. I cannot say enough good things about Timberland Campground . . . . owners are wonderful and it's a nice quiet place to camp.

"A great home base, short drives to Diana's Bathes, Cathedral Ledge, restaurants, and literally across the street from Storyland."

"Extras like a flashlight and binoculars were a nice touch. New outdoor furniture was great. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure in showers was a bit lacking and lighting was a problem in guest room. Just need to upgrade lamps and curtains."

"Fabulous place for a get away. We were looking for some place close to the Mt Washington Cog Railway trip. This was perfect! Loved the atmosphere of The Wentworth. The staff goes above & beyond to make your stay a terrific one. We also enjoyed going to the Alpine & having a beverage & a light dinner. The food was delicious!"
