We loved our stay at the Seldovia house! It had everything we could possibly need (including bear spray!). Quiet neighborhood but close to Seward. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a nice stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable, and Shirley was responsive to questions. The only disadvantage was the foot noise from the upstairs rental.
We enjoyed our brief stay at the Seldovia House, just a few minutes outside of Seward. The decor is charming, the bed comfortable, and the shower delightful!
Many thoughtful touches, as well as a pretty view, made it a great place for us to stay.
Was a great place for myself and two daughters… felt spoiled after cabin camping and went on to tent camping after. Shirley even provided an air mattress so we could each have our own bed after sleeping side by side all week lol. Beautiful kitchen and bathroom!
Nice house located outside of town In a Quiet area.
This was a nice quiet place for two of us to stay. We did not spend a lot of time In The house but found it clean and as described in the listing. Check in and out process was easy. We were happy to be outside of traffic in town.

Great place minutes from Seward
Don't let it scare you that this home is out of town, 5 minutes-ish with a car and you can see the highway from the deck/front of the house- no chance of getting lost. Newly redone, clean and adorable- we loved our stay here. Thanks.

Great place to stay near Seward.
The Seldovia House is the lower part of a two story guest house. Very tastefully build and furnished, very comfortable. The only down side is that the noise from the guests upstairs was loud and intrusive of sleep- we heard every footstep and water running when they came in late at night. But for just two nights it was a pleasure to stay there.
We had a great time in and around Seward despite the days of rain. The house was perfect. Great view. We saw and heard eagles a number of times from the porch. Shirley is great to work with. Quick to respond and very helpful
Very nice apartment. We had everything needed to cook our meals when we were too tired to go out. 5 minute drive to downtown Seward. Shirley was a delight to deal with. See you next year !
We are local Alaskan's who traveled to Seward for a weekend of decompression and to enjoy the area. The lodging was perfect for our needs. It accommodated two friends who just wanted to unwind, enjoy nature, rest and relax. The lodging was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were easy to get in touch with (although we didn't need anything). The area is amazing and we had a wonderful time kayaking with Sunny Cove in Resurrection Bay and beach combing at Lowell Point and 4th of July beach. One of our favorite meals was at the Flamingo Lounge.

Great place to stay
A beautiful apartment with a terrific kitchen! It was very comfortable and quite spacious. Also, it has very quick and easy access to town. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves there.
The only drawback is that one can easily hear the comings and goings of the people in the upstairs unit. The floor of the upstairs unit does not have much sound insulation, and footsteps and loud conversations can be easily heard in the downstairs unit.
Next time we will definitely go for the upstairs unit, and we will be careful not be too noisy!
Enjoyed our stay. Had a problem finding the house. Used Waze which took us to what appeared to be a random location on Seward Hwy. after some thinking realize the property near by. But after a long travel day was frustrating. Also had confusion as to whether we rented the top apartment or the lower apartment. A quick call to host corrected my confusion.
Unit was clean and comfortable.

The space is beautifully done + central to town while still feeling secluded
The unit is clean, spacious and modern. It's less than 10 minutes into the main part of Seward and we appreciated being a bit out of the tourism bubble. Kitchen had everything we needed to whip up quick meals and the heater worked great for the chillier nights. We didn't spend a ton of time in the unit as we were out exploring - but if you're planning on staying in more you may opt for the upstairs unit as we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around from down below. There was also a larger family up there for our stay so it may depend on who is above you as well. Would definitely recommend the guest house for your stay in Seward - you can't go wrong, the town is magic!
We were in the bottom unit which was very noisy if there were guests upstairs! We could hear every footstep. The unit is basement, so it’s a little musty smelling. The owner does have a dehumidifier running in the bedroom. The unit is clean and well stocked. The location was good for hiking and adventures based out of Seward. We liked having the grill and we sat on the porch bar stools watching eagles!
We were in town for a few days fishing and getting ready for a wedding! The place was absolutely perfect! The hosts have thought of everything you need for a relaxing place just minutes from the Seward waterfront! We will absolutely look to stay here again on our next visit!
Host gave good details on how to find rental and easy check in. Very clean and inviting. Provided great info on local restaurants, shops,& points of interest. Noise from upstairs was typical for being on ground level.
Great place to stay! Beautiful view and porch area. Clean and comfortable.
Check in/out process was simple and Shirley was readily available.
I would recommend if you are a light sleeper to opt for the top floor vrbo that is also offered. Foot steps were quite loud and I could hear the person above me snoring.
