Home away from home!!

This was the perfect hideaway in the mountains! The cabin was absolutely perfect! We had some gorgeous views from both of the back porches! We loved that we were so close to gatlinburg and pigeon forge. The cabin was very clean, spacious, and cozy all at once. We can’t wait to come back in the fall for another stay!!

Great couples get away

This was mine and my wife’s first get away together. It was amazing to say the least, from the awesome things to do in a very convenient area, to the stay in our cabin. Everyone around the area is so nice. We will be back. The memories are worth way more than u will ever pay for any of this stuff!!

Get-away with hubby!

Cabin was very clean, cozy, and beautiful! Both floors are spacious and well stocked with everything you need. It should be noted, the only TV is on the main floor, and there’s a long stairway to the bedroom. It’s a challenging drive to the cabin, but we managed just fine! We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cabin!

The cabin was very peaceful and relaxing. I was looking forward to the hot tub, my wife noticed that there was no chlorine smell or tablets in the dispenser so she would not get in and the hot tub was leaking from somewhere. Otherwise, we had a very enjoyable weekend.

Wonderful cabin, terrible location

The cabin alone was fantastic, very spacious and cute, and check in was super easy as it was self check in. Everything else was disappointing. No wifi, no channels on the tv and no option to use streaming apps, cell phone service was also scarce. The drive up to the cabin after getting off the parkway was terrifying and dangerous, though not the fault of the owners. Shower head in master bathroom was awful as well, very low pressure. Overall, good cabin but all other amenities were terrible.

Cabin nice size

We didn’t know we were going to have to drive to the top of a mountain to the cabin. Lol we were there for the Great Smoky Jeep Invasion so we really didn’t stay in the cabin much. The cabin is a really nice size, the bedroom is downstairs and is really a large room. We didn’t get in the hot tub the weather was extremely hot when we were there. We did play pool a couple of nights that was fun. If you want to spend time outside the cabin there are a couple of nice decks. There is not a lot of yard and where the picnic table is it is pretty over grown and didn’t look like it was taken care of. Can’t really take a walk unless you want to walk on steep hills. Overall it is a very nice large cabin.

Honeymoon trip at the Bear Cub

The cabin was perfect for our first time stay at Tennessee. There’s more space in the cabin than what the pictures seems. The parking is limited, with a bigger Jeep we had to back out of the drive way each day, which was ok, but you ended up on the lower side of a crest of a hill. There was a lot of spider webs around the hot tub that my husband was kinda weary of. The bed was very comfortable. After a long day, I would suggest making sure you have grabbed everything upstairs that you want because walking up all this stairs from the bedroom because we forgot something in the kitchen, or to double check the car was locked, was draining. The area around the grill and picnic area was slightly overgrown leading to us not using this area. Cabin stayed cool through the day even with the thermostat set at 70 through the whole stay. Can’t see the mountains too much unless you squint to look through the trees off of the top deck. The night were very relaxing in the hot tub, there was very little to no traffic around. There is a lot of curves…. Around 22… from pigeon forge to get to the cabin, and a couple of steep “hills”, heading up the mountain to the cabin. The cabin overall was perfect for our honeymoon, and we have both said we will back to Tennessee.

Great Stay but listing is a little misleading

I want to preface this review by saying that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The critiques are purely 'expectational' as we would have packed/prepared differently/ The location of the cabin is pretty evenly situated between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The roads getting to the cabin are extremely narrow, very sharp curves, poorly maintained road signs. You are surrounded by other cabins on 3 sides, and they are VERY close. There should be no expectation of Privacy - the Hot Tub is in clear view of 3 other cabins. The cabin itself is very dated. The bathroom feels like it's straight out of 1989. Shower head is not pleasant - more of a "wide Spray" like putting your thumb over the end of a hose. Tiles on the floor are loose and missing grout. The Garden Jacuzzi Tub is out in the bedroom, so if you had a Family staying here, you run the risk of someone walking down the stairs and seeing the 'full glory'. The Heating/Cooling only works on the main floor (Kitchen/Living room) There is a Space Heater downstairs, but it is not large enough to heat the whole room. Extra blankets were required as the temps got down into the 30s outside. The Patio/Terrace and Picnic areas are completely overgrown and unusable. During the fall/winter that's not a big deal, but the photos on VRBO make it seem like they are open. There is no signage indicating the House Number (1714) or Cabin Name (Bear Cub) at the road. Every single other cabin has one.
