Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Good location and had plenty of room. The internet signal was the strongest I’ve ever had in a cabin here, underrated gem!
We went for a weekend getaway with the family. Beautiful view and the house was clean. I had to contact property manager and she was extremely helpful and kind. Definitely will be visiting again.
Great communication with mngr
Cozy, beautiful scenery all around atop the mountain
Hot tub was terrific
Great TVs & reception
Excellent WiFi
Loved the porch swings
Appreciated the serenity
Check in/check out were simple and easy. No 12 step check out process as with other places we’ve stayed in the area! Gated community with a pool/tennis courts was a really nice bonus! Fairly close to Kroger and the Wears Valley park entrance. Overall a great place.
This cabin is in a gated community. Drive way a bit steep in wet conditions could be difficult for some cars, we have a 4wd truck so it wasn’t an issue and we loved how it was tucked back away from other cabins. Cabin is very cozy and great for kids. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee. Very peaceful and relaxing stay!
My kids say awesome! Hot tub is really good according to my 8 year old and they both loved the video games. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Thank you for opening your home. We will stay again if and when we come back to the smokies!

Family vacation
What a lovely cabin! We were blown away. My family declared that I had outdone myself with this booking. Would highly recommend. We even got a visit by a Bear. It was a family vacation we won't soon forget. Thank you!
Met some friends this weekend for a short break in the mountains. The cabin was just like the pictures. Just perfect. Very clean, nicely decorated, and the children loved the arcade games. The owner was very quick to respond, and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I and our 2 children just got back from our stay in this beautiful cabin. The cabin is so pretty and has everything!! The arcade was a big hit as was the hot tub, The swinging benches on the front porch were nice to sit on every morning and drink our coffee while looking at the amazing scenery. The neighborhood is absolutely beautiful and the sound of nature all around helped us relax. The cabin was 30 minutes away from all the attractions. What a great first time trip to Tennessee. We can’t wait to go back!!
You are charged a cleaning fee but its not clean. Its hard to get to.And very hard to turn around once you are up there. We lost our power for 5 hours had to call the sheriff about it Because the number for help don't work And water pressure in the shower was terrible .More but we will leave it at that .

Great getaway cabin
The cabin itself was amazing. Although I would not recommend arriving at night time. Roads are very curvy and there is very little light to navigate by. Upon arrival, it would have been nice if the front porch light was on and if there was a light on the lower level near the front entrance to the cabin. That is the only negative comments I have to say. I have stayed in a few cabins but this one was the best one by far, hands down. The cabin was in excellent condition. The inside was very clean and definitely kept up to date. The wall mounted flat screen TV over the fireplace was a really nice touch. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed, unlike some of the other cabins I have stayed in. The loft was amazing along with the two full sized arcade games. The hot tub was fully operational and was very relaxing to sit in after a stressful drive. As far as the owner goes, very helpful and answered my questions promptly. The grill ran out of propane and a new tank was delivered the next day. I definitely will be staying in this cabin in the future.
It's easy to complain about places, so let's get that out of the way: The hot tub needed to be cleaned; the television in the main bedroom didn't receive any programs; the bed squeaked (like they all do these days); one of the video game machines is faulty and doesn't boot up; and you can see where the mold was that someone else previously complained about, but I'm really allergic to mold and had no problems at all.
All of those are minor inconveniences that some people might add up. The biggest problem we had is that the cabin is extremely remote. The power to the Shagbark Resort went out twice while we were there - once in the middle of the night and once at 10 am. We stayed in Shagbark in the spring as well and didn't experience this, so read into it what you will, but we were WAY out there.
On the other hand, if you like to "get away from it all," you certainly can at the place. The Internet was excellent, and there are a number of great amenities at Shagbark (pool, activity courts, etc). This is a spacious 2-bedroom cabin, and even though we had rain early in the week, we eventually were visited by turkeys, deer, and a bear. It's a nice front porch, and the management did a great job of preparing us for the stay.
We have stayed in many properties over the years. This was the most remote, actually, while being so close if you will. Secure check-in, excellent communication with property manager, quick response to a few minor needs. Access to this cabin is via steep mountain roads.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Good but needs some TLC
The cabin was nice, looks like the listing. I did feel like I was paying a little more than other cabins without the benefit. One of the arcade games didn’t work, and that’s the whole reason we chose this cabin over another one was for our kids to have those to play. The cabin could’ve definitely been cleaned better. For the outrageous cleaning fee (double other cabins) it wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped. There were cob webs everywhere and there were 2 mice in the trashcan that had a ton of liquid in it as well. There was also mold everywhere and you could tell there is constant water damage happening there. One of my kids took a bath upstairs (because that was the only tub with a working drain stopper) and the bathroom ceiling below started leaking. It’s just the little things that should be addressed and part of house maintenance that would’ve made the stay better. I probably wouldn’t stay at this particular cabin again.
A group of me and my friends enjoyed our weekend at this quiet little cabin! Host was very accommodating and was very responsive in our communications. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our week here. Location is convenient to the Parkway, and the cabin had privacy. It was clean and nicely decorated- loved the Christmas tree! The game room was nice to have! Kitchen and bathrooms stocked with basic needs- we will be back!
Awesome cabin! The kids had plenty do...board games, arcade games in the game room. Cabin was well equipped! They thought of everything! Perfect family getaway...we will be come back again! 5 Stars!!!
