Amazing Views from Bluff Mountain with Hot Tub and Fooseball

Located atop Bluff Mountain overlooking Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains, Reed's Retreat is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin. This beautiful cabin has amazing views that will take your breath away. You will feel like you can touch the heavens as you gaze out over long range views of the Smokies from your wrap around deck. Beautifully furnished, comfortable, and updated, you will feel right at home. Snuggle by the wood burning fireplace or roast marshmallows by the fire pit beneath the stars. Enjoy the beauty by relaxing in your hot tub after a day of exploring. At night, the view allows you to see the lights of Pigeon Forge sparkling in the distance!

*4 WHEEL DRIVE AND TRAVEL INSURANCE ARE RECOMMENDED DURING WINTER MONTHS.
Mountain roads can become hazardous or impassable in snow and ice. Your safety is a priority, consider buying Travel Insurance. We highly recommend it.

Reed's Retreat can comfortably sleep 6 guests. The cabin has a bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and a bathroom across the hall. There are 2 sides to the loft, 1 side has a Foosball table, the other side has a king bedroom with a bathroom. The cabin is easily accessible with only three steps to the front door. Conveniently located 8 miles off Wears Valley Road, only 5 miles from Pigeon Forge, the cabin offers the best of both worlds: secluded yet convenient to attractions, shopping, and restaurants. Reed’s Retreat is perfect for a family vacation, honeymoon, anniversary, or couple’s getaway.

BE SAFE - The last 1/4 mile to cabin is a steep, curvy, one lane road, paved private road. Normally a 2-wheel drive is sufficient but inclement weather requires a 4 wheel/all-wheel drive. In the winter we highly recommend travel insurance in case mountain roads are impassable due to snow or ice.
BE PREPARED - Only a starter pack of toilet paper, trash bags, etc. is provided so bring extra or you can purchase locally if needed.
BE AWARE - You are in Bear Country, do not feed bears or leave food in cars. Lock the car door.
BRING YOUR OWN - Charcoal / Firewood / Extra towels for the hot tub
NO PETS - $300 fine and asked to leave
KEEP IN TOUCH - If you have any problem let us know while you are there, we will try our best to solve it.
Limit 6 Guests maximum, including children, if exceed the fine is $100 per guest.
Motorcycles and trailers are not recommended or safe.
Hot Tubs are used at your own risk. Be Safe.

Nearby Things to Do: Dollywood, Splash Mountain, and the legendary Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show are all great ways to spend your vacation. You can also explore the Smokey Mountain National Park and Cades Cove with day hikes, horseback tours, and zipline adventures. In nearby Gatlinburg, about a 30-minute drive, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, and the quaint Arts and Crafts Community await!
The Trillium Venue located on Bluff Mountain is only 2 miles from the cabin.

Honeymoon
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We had great communication with the property manager. This is an absolutely beautiful cabin! Check in and check out was simple. It is a private area, amazing view, and it is very clean and cozy! I would highly recommend to stay here, and I know we would love to visit again.

Views are amazing
Our recent August 2024 stay was great. Listing is accurate and the views were so amazing! We definitely didn’t mind coming back to the cabin early and just hanging out on the deck and soak up all the beauty. Getting there the roads are really steep just be prepared for that. We couldn’t find the cabin right away the first day (in the daylight) as there was a sign that said “Angels Nest” down the road which was the old name of the cabin…that should be take down, that was confusing. Otherwise it was great! King bed was great in the loft! Would definitely stay here again!

Breathtaking view
We stayed here with our three kids ages 7,6, & 3 and it was perfect. The view is absolutely beautiful. The cabin was great and there was plenty of room for all of us. The drive was only scary the first time because we didn’t know exactly what to expect and the hills are steep, but it was no problem after the first time. The one way road was no issue either. I would definitely book this cabin again.

Absolutely amazing views
This was the perfect cabin for me, my husband and our toddler. The toddler stayed in the downstairs bedroom with the door closed the room is completely blacked out so if your kiddo needs it dark it’s perfect. And my husband and I stayed in the loft master suit. Waking up every morning to the gorgeous sunrise over the mountains was breathtaking every single morning. The cabin was well maintained and clean. We loved sitting on the porch swing and taking in the morning sunrise and evening sun set. 10/10 recommend this cabin to anyone who needs a recommendation.

Beautiful, clean, quiet
This is exactly what we wanted. A quiet place high up in the smokeys, with a gorgeous 180° view of the mountainside. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the host provided coffee and coffee maker, towels, blankets. The road is extremely steep. The host warns you about it, but it’s worth emphasizing. It was scary driving up the road in the summer; I can’t imagine doing it in winter.

GREAT cabin, but poorly maintained.
We LOVED the cabin! We LOVED the views! We LOVED the accessibility to town and to the National Park. But - The place wasn't dirty, but they need more attention to detail with the cleaning. It looks like it has not had a good "Spring cleaning" in quite some time - dusty lightbulbs, spiderwebs in corners of rooms & patio, spa needed a good scrubbing, burnt out bulbs in the bathroom & ceiling fans etc. And there was absolutely noting in the fridge or cabinets as far as amenities. There was a Keurig machine, but no coffee pods. The regular coffee pot is tiny and for the three of us, we had to make three pots each morning - they did have coffee. There was pepper, but no salt and no other spices. etc. We've stayed at several VRBO's and they all had a good to great supply of "kitchen things", the extras to make the stay special, or at least easy. This location didn't even have a single soap or shampoo. We got in just before dark (Which is recommended) and if we didn't have a travel size soap, we'd have had to use dish soap, as we weren't about to drive back down the hill after all of the previous travel. It had a washer & dryer, but we latterly had bare bones minimum towels/wash cloths as we didn't want to use the shower towels after the hot tub. It could have had a few extra pillows too as my wife and I use two. Again - I would consider staying here again, just for the views. We'd just plan on stopping to go shopping first, and buy a lot of things.

Beautiful cabin with amazing views!
Everything from the initial reservation through our stay was well communicated and friendly. The pictures and description of the cabin are spot on. It was very clean and everything was working when we arrived. I really can't think of any complaints - even the paved road up, while pretty steep, wasn't an issue (as some earlier reviews insinuated). Watching the sunrise over the mountains from the hot tub was epic! Will definitely stay here again next time we come down.

Anniversary trip
The only problem we had was when we arrived. We had an extra long traffic delay in Chattanooga (traveling from East Texas), so it was about 9:30 pm and dark. We missed the very last turn to the cabin, but I called the host and she redirected us. We did not see any “Reed’s Retreat” signs. We did see an “Oliver’s Outlook” sign, but missed the one at the last turn. The next morning we saw the last sign, but the word “Reed’s” is broken off. I have no doubt, though, that we would have found our cabin the first time had it still been daylight. Wonderful views! and the cabin was perfect for us!! We were not ready to leave.

Great view of Pigeon and Gatlingburg, but…
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the fabulous view from the top of the mountain, along with the view of fireworks during New Years! The cabin was clean and the jacuzzi had fresh water, had clean towels, extra sheets for the beds, and plenty parking space outside. What we did NOT enjoy was the drive up the mountain: Renatta Way is a one-way, curvy, long and extremely steep paved road with a rock wall on one side and a cliff on the other. Luckily we did not encounter a car coming from the opposite way and no snow or ice while we were there. If it snows rest assure that you would be stuck up there even with a 4x4 vehicle unless this private 45-degree switch back road is salted - if it does it would be an important note to be added by the owner specially for winter stays. All beds are queen size and could use new mattresses, and hopefully larger ones, specially the loft bed. The loft bed is very noisy and uncomfortable. We had to purchase mattress pads for both beds while there. There is hardly any kitchen condiments - not a turn-off but it is nice to arrive at a cabin and have at least the basics like sugar, creamer and coffee. If you are looking for a stunning view of the city this is a great cabin to stay, but if you are like us and like a good night sleep and don’t want to run the risk of being stuck in a snowy road on vacation, this may not be the cabin for you.

Amazing view!
If you are looking for a cabin with an amazing view, this is it. We enjoyed our stay and the kids really enjoyed the hot tub. I would highly recommend that you have a vehicle that either has the ability to manually shift gears or a four wheel drive as the roads leading to the cabin are very steep and has sharp turns.
