"My husband and I stayed to attend the Appalachian Trail Days. The cottage was absolutely amazing. It was so clean, so well equipped! The cottage was in the country, really quiet. It has an amazing screened in back deck that over looked fields of hay and a cow pasture. I was so glad that we got to meet Judy and Joe. Wonderful couple! We loved staying there and hope to be able to go back again."

"This was the perfect place for me and my family. The accommodations were as described and the peace and serenity of the view and critters were an added bonus. We enjoyed playing board games and enjoying one anothers company. The only negative was no wifi password was available, but that lent itself well to more family time, so not a major issue and possibly something I overlooked. We loved it and look forward to the next visit!"

"Location seemed a bit more remote than it actually was- which wasn’t a bad thing- the property itself is gorgeous, and the land is well maintained! The house was more spacious and accommodating than I and my family expected, and had many more amenities than most rental properties- which was a true blessing. "Beautiful place and very private! Lots of wild life with a private road that is great for walking kids and dogs. The owners keep the place well stocked and very clean. They were very accommodating and responsive! Hope to return!"

"It is a very convenient location. Across the street is the Grocery store with gasoline and the pizza/sandwich shop. Later, we did walk 250 yards to the brewery. Small parking area for a large p/u truck. Biggest drawback is that it is only 15 feet from the main road going through Damascus, which tends to be busy and noisy. And no front or back usable porch.."

"Nice sized lodge for family gathering. Plenty of room, great sitting area on front porch. Nicely planted flower beds around lodge, attracted hummingbirds and butterflies. Only the most basic amenities provided. I definitely would recommend using a 4-wheel drive to access the property. Any vehicle low to the ground could bottom out."

"I very impressed but I will honest when we first pulled it looks very rustic but once inside it was very clean and the bed omg it was like sleeping on a cloud, we loved how we could freely walk the property and we really enjoyed the farm animals which are all very tamed even the chickens lol this place to rent especially if you have kids that go to Emory and Henry College we stayed graduation weekend my mind was at ease because we did not have to deal with any traffic"

"What a great place! Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we couldn’t hang outside by the fire pit but the screened in porch is a nice extension of the home. The hosts reached out to make sure everything was going well and it was. There is a gas station/cafe around the bend and the cafe has really good food, especially for breakfast. The gas station has hunt brothers pizza and that was good as well....
