The lintel over the front door indicates it was built in 1776, but step inside and it’s uncompromisingly modernist – the glass staircase is particularly exciting, and it’s fun to shower in the middle of a big room. Nice spot
"The welcome was lovely, facilities clean. They held my bag for me while I checked out and walked around before actually leaving. I stayed in room 205 and there was a really loud noise the entire time. Sounded like a non stop dishwasher/washing machine next door. I don't actually know what it was. Since I was there for one night I didn't say anything but under normal circumstances would have absolutely switched rooms. I'd stay there again. "
