"Hotel very nice, good facilities, and rooms upgraded, but some elements of the decoration, are not great, bathroom door damaged,. The walkway along the side of the events room through to bedrooms is very slippery in wet weather when wet ."

"Didn't use the spa / gym so can only comment on hotel. A thoroughly enjoyable stay with courteous, helpful staff. The facilities were splendid and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very enjoyable and well presented. Would definitely stay again and recommend for others!"

"On the whole there wasn't anything that we didn't like about our stay. We had a superior room which was very spacious. We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room, bar/lounge area or the restaurant. The breakfast and dinner menus were v.good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. These are my honest accounts. My only regret is that we did not find the time to use the pool or sauna. However they do serve a lovely pale ale at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone."

"We received a warm welcome in the bar and were shown our room. The room was quite small but it was clean and well laid out and had everything we needed. Breakfast of cereal bar, instant porridge and a croissant is provided but we headed to the Wetherspoons or local cafe. The bar is very welcoming and has a nice atmosphere. We liked the central location for exploring Lancaster and not far from the University so we were able to easily visit our son. We will definitely be back."

"We stayed in a family room which was brilliant. The kids had a separate sleeping area and separate beds which was great! Nice spacious room for the four of us. Everything needs updating but i overheard that this property is being updated soon. Unfortunately the water was turned off on our last morning. Reception warned us the night before which we were grateful for and we were provided with plenty of bottled water in the morning and an apology from reception which i was grateful for. We found this hotel a great base for visiting the lakes and overall really enjoyed our stay!"

"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choices were very good and plentiful. However the room was very dated and in need of renovation and had a funny smell when you walked in. The bedroom lacked any real style - blind needed replacing and the bathroom reminded us of a prison bathroom (all grey in colour)and stuck in the 80s with some broken fixtures so rather disappointing. The newly refurbished dining room looked good though!"

"Warm welcome and amazing, helpful staff team. Lovely clean rooms and great water pressure. Buffet style cooked breakfast was only thing that was not 100% ... one day it was all pretty dried under the lights, although the next stay it was much busier and breakfast was fresher as turnaround of stock was faster. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was good but a little pricy, although expected for a hotel restaurant. We would definitely stay again if in the area."
