Sossusvlei Lodge

"We had a wonderful stay at Sossusvlei lodge. We were lucky and got a room with amazing views. Room and lodge was spotless but there was a lingering odour in the bathroom. Food was excellent and we are vegetarians. The best part - the staff were lovely and friendly, without exception. We also did a sundowner drive with Gabriel which we enjoyed very much."

"We loved our stay at the Namib Desert! The staff is amazing! When you couldn't find our reservation, you went all out to make us comfortable and work out the issue. It was a name confusion or something. Thank you!!!! Above and beyond."

"I stayed in one of the camping2go tent things. They're really actually pretty cool and spacious. If you're looking to properly camp, the kitchenette thing has blooming everything you need. I did notice quite quickly that the mosquitos love to hang around this kitchenette area, so come prepared. Dinner and breakfast are decent, though it turned out the money paid for these was the most I'd paid for any meal in the whole 10 days I was travelling in Namibia."

"The Hoodia Lodge was a luxurious and satisfying experience. From the initial greeting by the host, and staff, to the smartly-appointed chalet (with outdoor shower), to the romantic Sundowner on the mountain and the all-day excursion to Sossusvlei/Deadvlei with our excellent Guide Enos. Everything was done with class. We felt totally spoiled."

"The property was absolutely beautiful, well run and staff were great, the rooms are stunning. My issue wasn’t with the property but with the map on Expedia, it implies the property is very near the entrance to the park and the dot was not in the right place, it was a very long and dust road! So we were a little disappointed on the way there but we were happy when we eventually got there. If I’d known where it was when I booked this wouldn’t have bothered us"

"Positive: It’s a great place, great staff and it’s great place to stay before visiting Susvelei.they offer many tours and can help you with an itinerary and transportation as a package. Negative: the wifi didn’t work. Not sure if this is an on going issue or just when we were there. The pool water is extremely cold in the winter. I wish they had a way to warm the water or turn it into a Jacuzzi. I wish dinner included more traditional Namibian food options to try instead of mainly western food."

"The view is exceptional, absolutely outstanding, very beautiful. The only blemish for me was that the carpets were drenched, wet, and there was no hot water. In their defense I have to say though that there were very peculiar weather days preceding our stay there. Heavy rain in mid winter which is totally outside the norm and unheard of, and very cold days, even when we arrived it was still bitterly cold. One highlight though were the hot water bags that they placed in our beds while we were at dinner."
