This is a lovely hotel with the best breakfast in Portugal! Literally! Their restaurant Ponte Velha is also superb and very reasonably priced, the change the menu regularly monthly if not weekly which is a great. In my top 10 hotels in Portugal!

This hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Rooms are bright and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and it was a pleasure to wake up to warm sunlight from the Juliet balcony. The location is great, with easy walking access to several restaurants in town. The staff are a credit to their organisation and helped with advice when asked. The provided information about driving tours of the area, all of which proved fascinating. We particulary recommend visiting Monsanto, Coimbra, Tomar and the Schist Villages.

Excellent hotel, would consider a 5*, former convent very well refurbished and transformed into a hotel, very clean, spacious, modern rooms, excellent service and breakfast. Definitely recommend it to all types of travelers.

Will be back

The staff were so friendly and kind to our dog as well. We normally stop in the area on the way down to Portugal which we visit frequently. We will definitely be staying again. Good walks from the hotel along the river and very central location so access to facilities, restaurants etc. Free parking too.

Discover central Portugal and make this hotel your top priority for a stay. The front desk staff is exceptional. The best breakfast I've experienced in Portugal was here. The adjacent restaurant is top-notch, and there are choices of several restaurants well worth visiting. I could not have had a better experience in any hotel in the entire country.

Rui was an amazing host, very kind and helpful. The communication was clear and timely. The hotel was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. The location was good for us as it allow us to walk to the Morrish castle, Palacio de Pena and Quinta de Regaleira. We loved having our breakfast in the patio while enjoying the view to the Morrish castle. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. The room was quiet, we choose a first floor room with a small patio.

Very serviceminded staff indeed. Did go the extra mile to assist us. Apparently we were the first Danish guest for some time. Our recommendation is that this should not be the case for the future. Perfectly located between Lissabon and Porto, and it is great to get a feeling for the countryside without too many tourists. Plus a visit to one of the river beaches is always interesting. Ask the hotel for guidance.

A nossa estadia no Hotel Convento da Sertã foi, de facto, uma experiência maravilhosa e altamente recomendável. ​O ponto mais alto da nossa visita foi, sem dúvida, o staff. Todos os colaboradores foram espetaculares: extremamente atenciosos, prestáveis e sempre disponíveis para ajudar. Sentimo-nos verdadeiramente acolhidos e bem cuidados. Agradecemos especialmente a ajuda na organização dos nossos passeios, pois a localização do hotel é ótima para explorar vários locais lindíssimos da região. ​O pequeno-almoço superou as nossas expectativas, sendo muito variável e com produtos de boa qualidade. ​Relativamente ao alojamento, o quarto era super confortável, proporcionando um descanso de excelência após os nossos dias de exploração. ​Gostaríamos de destacar que a limpeza do hotel foi impecável durante toda a nossa estadia. Desde as áreas comuns até ao nosso quarto, tudo se encontrava perfeitamente cuidado e higienizado. ​O único aspeto a apontar foi a qualidade da imagem dos canais de TV no início, que estava péssima. No entanto, o problema foi facilmente resolvido ao fazermos uma simples pesquisa/sintonia de canais, ficando com uma qualidade de imagem boa. Foi uma questão menor que se resolveu bem. ​Em suma, se procura um hotel com uma localização fantástica, um conforto inigualável e, acima de tudo, um serviço humano e atencioso, o Hotel Convento da Sertã é a escolha certa. ​Recomendamos vivamente!

Binnen het gebouw was sprake van uitgebreid onderhoud. Dat stoorde echter totaal niet. Het hotel moet het hebben van de aantrekkelijkheid van de wijde omgeving en niet van het stadje Serta zelf.

Para conhecer a Sertã

Estadia agradável na Sertã. O hotel corresponde ao que promete, estando enquadrado num antigo convento podendo ter-se pormenores da construção inicial. O hotel tem uma outra parte mais moderna que está bem integrada. O pequeno almoço é agradável e suficiente, com pequenos apontamentos locais.

A excelência de um hotel!

Viajo muito, por motivos profissionais, e conheço muitos hóteis na Pensisula Ibérica. Este hotel foi uma fantástica surpresa. Tudo foi excelente: o colchão, o silêncio, o wif-fi, o pequeno almoço, a arquitectura e decoração bonita e sóbria (corência franciscana). Mas também quero destacar a amabilidade, atenção e genuína simpatia de todos, a começar pela Directora do Hotel. Também o Adrian. A todos os outros peço desculpa por não ter fixado o nome. Hei-de voltar a este Hotel, sem dúvida.

Gostamos de tudo no Convento da Sertã! O Hotel é muito bonito, assim como o quarto, a cama super confortável, boa casa de banho, roupeiro espaçoso, TV, roupões e chinelos, muitas tomadas, oferta de garrafa de água, enfim, tudo para mimar os hóspedes. Situado no centro da vila da Sertã o Convento hotel é um exemplo da recuperação do património nacional. O pequeno almoço é excelente em qualidade e variedade. Staff simpático e solícito, que nos forneceu toda a informação necessária para a realização de passeios a locais de uma beleza imperdível, a aldeias de xisto e a vilas na proximidade. Quartos limpos e com uma pequena varanda. No final da estadia proporcionaram-nos uma visita à antiga capela do Convento que foi recuperada e agora é utilizada para exposições, concertos e outros eventos. Uma experiência a repetir.
