"The host is just so helpful and cheerful, the room is super clean and the attention of detail from the host makes the stay so much enjoyable. Unfortunely for me, my room was the one on the main road and I am a light sleeper, so sleep was not the best experience so agreed with host to reserve a room at the back of the Mas for my next stay. "Used gps on phone easy to find . About 20min outside Bergerac. Host helpful and speaks some English but family email in English so no problem with communication . Modern wooden built house . We stayed in ground floor apartment . There were also more traditional options as well. Lots of modern art and excellent comfort bed . Would recommend. "Gite du Silence certainly lives up to its name and rating! The owners, Jason and Tracie, have equipped this lovely old Gite with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay in the French countryside. It's a long drive from the ferry port but you're met with a very warm welcome and a bottle of wine to enjoy by the pool looking out over the fields and the distant windmill at Coulx. This is a gem of a holiday home and one I very much hope to visit again... and again!"
