"Our experience (16 people, extended family with children) at Il Salicone was very favourable. The villa is over 200 years old, so don't expect a modern house. That said, it is huge, it has character to burn and the housekeeper Nicoletta is as welcoming and helpful as you can ask. Do note the pool (which has a wonderful view on its own) is a fair distance from the house, which should have been noted on the description. The location is superb, less than 10m from Pistoia (which has all amenities...

"Lovely Villa! We had an amazing time! Perfect for a large group and kids! We were in 6 adults and 3 children. The swimming pool is outstanding! The views are spectacular. We did day trips and would come back around 4pm to enjoys the pool and sunset. The road going up to the Villa is a bit steep, but you can get used to it, and relax! It is very spacious, great service (if you would like dinner cooked for you), and great location! Definitely recommended!"
