"The setting was beautiful, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very pleasant and comfortable with delicious food. If we are in the area again we will return."

"The architecture of Pousada Armenteira was quite unusual; you see it on the right as you come down the camino path into Armenteira. It is a glass & concrete building with weathered wooden uprights on the facade. The interior has polished wood floors and walls; interesting exhibits of local artists. The receptionist was charming & helpful; check-in very easy. A very good breakfast is included. No bar or evening meal available, but 1 cafe open 'til 5pm & 1 bar+ restaurant, near the monastery, serves evening meal from 7-11 pm. The room & bathroom were very clean. Beds comfortable. Shower facility quite unique; suitable for disabled access; bath serves as drain-has a liftable over, which is flush with the floor--lift it & you have a sunken tub! It is more than a guest house, it has the capacity for corporate events."

"The location was good and the staff helpful. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was okay. Lots of sweets if that’s your pleasure. We had no view but there was an outdoor patio we used."

"Excellent spot providing much better value than the hotels in town. Right across the road from the not too busy and very nice beach. Hourly bus takes you to town in no time or you can walk the 5km. Spacious room, pleasant and helpful staff and an outstanding buffet breakfast with an amazing variety of food and beverages."
